Sarrah S. Steiner

Oooh! I clean up nicely!

My name is pronounced as "Sirrah Styner."  I know, I know.  It looks an awful lot like "Sarah Steener" but it just simply is not pronounced that way.  :-)  The picture below is me as a blushing bride on 9/27/03.

I was born 2/22/74 and lived in Esko, MN most of my life.  I have 2 wonderful parents, named Brett and Susan Johnson.  They have since divorced but are still really good friends.  I have a younger sister named Rainee Johnson who now has a son named Tristan Michael Demont.  (Pictures coming soon!)  He was born 12/27/02.  He is, by far, my favorite nephew!  (Okay, he is my only nephew with whom I related biologically!)

I went to elementary and high school in Esko before attending college at Southwest State University (now Southwest Minnesota State University) in Marshall, MN.  I started out as a hotel/restaurant major but ended up graduating a quarter early with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Sculpture.  It was there that I created Coonerville.

I met my husband online on March 6, 1999.  He had an ad on Yahoo! personals in which he called himself a geek.  His was the only ad that came up under that keyword so I knew it was fate.  (*grins*)  After e-mailing and talking on the phone for a month, we met in person for the first time on April 6, 1999 and I knew he was the one with whom I wanted to spend the rest of my life!  We are currently living in Mableton, GA with our 4 cats: Nacho, Suki, Bebe, and Libby.. We just got Libby and do not have pictures of her yet. Sadly, Bongo passed away December 21, 2003.

We just moved to this area in September 2004 as Rich got a job at SITA after being laid off from his programming job at Northwest Airlines in January 2002.  Now that he is employed full-time again, I am going to look into dropping down to part-time in a couple of years.  I would like to have more time to concentrate on sculpting again and perhaps work on a Craft book that I would like to put together. Until then, I am working on the Merhcandising Services team at the Home Depot Corporate office .

From 'Sarrah Lehnen' to 'Sarrah Steiner' - 9/27/03 - Yay!
